Major QSR Brand to Open Down Under

Chuck E. Cheese

Iconic American Pizza chain Chuck E. Cheese is set to make its way down under, with plans revealed for an Australian expansion.

A deal has been signed by the fast food giant with Western Australian-based Royale Hospitality Group, following successful brands including Outback Jacks and Milky Lane.

Outlined in the deal was a promise to redefine family entertainment across Australia, with a re-imagined Chuck E. Cheese 'kid-centric' experience expected to roll out across Australia. This will combine an interactive playground atmosphere with the brand's signature pizza.

Chief operating officer Mario Centola said that Chuck E. Cheese is a powerful global brand that has transcended language and cultural boundaries, centred around the timeless essence of family fun.

"We are thrilled to bring the magic of Chuck E. Cheese to Australia and to collaborate with the Royale Hospitality Group, a partner that shares our commitment to delivering exceptional family experiences."

Ray Strauss, managing director of Royale Hospitality, said the group looked forward to tailoring the US Mega brand for the Australian market.

"This is a momentous step towards establishing Chuck E. Cheese as the premier destination for families seeking an unparalleled kid-centric entertainment and dining experience," said Strauss.

"I am thrilled, along with my dedicated team, to embark on this exciting journey, taking Chuck E. Cheese to the next level throughout all of Australia."

The deal for an Australian expansion has come after a pledge from Chuck E. Cheese to focus on a global expansion of the brand, with the aim of breaking into markets across Asia and Europe. Chuck E. Cheese has recently undergone a remodelling process in order to elevate its entertainment offerings and expand its global licensing footprint.

Chuck E. Cheese was founded in Texas in 1977. It has always followed its company values to combine family entertainment through an interactive platform, such as arcade games and live in-house performances.
