Antonio Rivera, New Zealand retail manager for Krispy Kreme, said, “New Zealand is the first place in the world to celebrate World Doughnut Day, so we’re determined to make a big deal of it, which is why this year we’re giving away 6000 Original Glazed doughnuts.
World Doughnut Day has been celebrated since the 1930s and falls on the first Friday in June around the world.
