Esk Valley Cellar Door Relocation

The Esk Valley Cellar Shop in Bay View, Hawke’s Bay, is set to relocate to the premises of the Te Awa Cellar Door in August of this year. The new location will come with a rejuvenated and exciting tasting experience.

The address of Esk Valley’s new cellar door will be 2375 State highway 50, Roys Hill—a place where customers will still be able to purchase and taste award-winning wines. Gordon Russell, Esk Valley Winemaker, said, “Although it’s a time of change, we continue to craft wines of unique personality using traditional methods and the local knowledge accumulated over many years. Our aim is to capture the best of every vintage.”

“Esk Valley wines have been at the forefront of New Zealand wine since our first vintage in 1988. Renowned for our Merlot based Gimblett Gravels reds and The Terraces, Esk Valley has also been an industry pioneer bottling New Zealand’s first Verdelho in 2002, first Malbec in 1999 and pioneering the now well-loved Hawkes Bay Merlot, Malbec blend. We still hold dear to our artisanal values, including fermenting all our premium reds in concrete. This is what makes Esk Valley wines unique and special.”

“We welcome our loyal customers to come and see us at our new premises which we are planning to have ready by the second week in August. We’ll let everyone know when we’re ready to launch the new space.”
