Customers are getting ready to go nuts for doughnuts on National Doughnut Day, Friday 1 June, with Krispy Kreme set to celebrate the day for the first time in New Zealand.
For one day only Krispy Kreme is giving away 5,000 Original Glazed doughnuts. Customers can head to Krispy Kreme Manukau for a free Original Glazed doughnut, with one available for every customer who visits the store.
Antonio Rivera New Zealand Retail Manager says: “National Doughnut Day is our favourite day of the year and we’re so excited to bring it to New Zealand for the first time,” said Antonio Rivera, New Zealand retail manager. “Our customers love seeing the Original Glazed come hot off the doughnut line. To celebrate the day, we invite Kiwis to clear their diaries and come down to the store or tune into our Facebook feed to watch our doughnuts being made.”
National Doughnut Day was introduced in the 1930s and is now celebrated on the first Friday in June around the world.
