KFC Launches The Colonel’s Liquid Gold Exchange

To mark the launch of its new Liquid Gold dip, KFC has opened The Colonel’s Liquid Gold Exchange.

The Colonel’s Liquid Gold Exchange is a pawn shop where anything gold can be traded for a complimentary pack of KFC tenders and a taste of the Colonel’s latest Liquid Gold creation.

Made for dipping, Liquid Gold is unlike any sauce KFC has launched before. Creamy and peppery, it's the perfect partner for KFC’s boneless chicken range, including Tenders & Hot & Crispy Boneless. Liquid Gold is also available as an add-on across the entire KFC menu.

Running for two days only, from Friday, the 4th of September to Saturday, the 5th of September at 177 Ponsonby Road, the Colonel’s Liquid Gold Exchange has invited New Zealanders to dig through their drawers, cupboards and jewellery boxes and get creative with what they bring in to exchange.

Every item handed over will be donated or recycled, giving Kiwi gold a chance to shine all over again.

KFC Marketing Director, Leanne Too, said Kiwis love discovering the next big thing on the menu, and right now dipping is having a real moment.

“Liquid Gold is set to be our most talked about dip, and we’re expecting it to fly out the door - that’s why we are inviting New Zealanders to swap gold to guarantee getting their hands on it,” she said.

“We know there are plenty of weird and wonderful gold treasures hiding around Kiwi homes, so we’re calling on our fans to dig them out and bring them down to the Colonel’s Gold Exchange. No matter the value, if it’s gold, we want to see it.”

The Colonel’s Gold Exchange marked the New Zealand arrival of Liquid Gold, the dipping sauce that caused a frenzy across the ditch, selling out multiple times in Australia.
