One Auckland cafe is set to host its first Rooftop Coffee Rave, complete with new brews, morning views, and a DJ spinning tracks.
JO&JOE Auckland and No Ordinary will host their first-ever Rooftop Coffee Rave on Wednesday 27 May from 7:00am to 9:00am.
The event promises to shake up Aucklanders’ morning exercise, social and coffee rituals—before the workday even begins.
Entry to the rave is NZD 8 and includes one coffee of their choice alongside a freshly-baked pastry. The event is door sales-only: guests can purchase entry at the entrance of the 7th-floor JO&JOE Rooftop, before making their way into the rave.
Guests will receive a wristband and a receipt: which becomes their ticket to a complimentary barista-made coffee of their choice, at any time during the event, alongside a croissant or pain au chocolat.
A menu of quirky, avant-garde coffees will be available to choose from, alongside classic brews. Think a pineapple long-black, crème brûlée coffees, biscoff latte, ice mint mocha, strawberry or mango matcha and a No Ordinary Peach Ice Tea americano. 1x drink of choice is included in the ticket price, with additional drinks available for NZD 6 each.
All coffees will be made with No Ordinary’s oat and almond milks. It’s a continuation of the rave’s theme of shaking up our rituals: offering guests a smooth, premium, and plant-based take on morning essentials.
A raft of NZD 5 breakfast pizzas also joins the event menu. There’s sweet options like the Banana Bomb with hazelnut chocolate sauce and banana alongside the mascarpone, smoked honey and berry-filled Berry Clouds. The Avocado Crush with ricotta and dukkah and the caramelised onion and cheese-topped Loaded Bacon Melt keep things savoury.
The foodie spoils starts before guests reach the rooftop: a tray of No Ordinary Peach Iced Tea and Mango or Strawberry Iced Matcha tasting cups will welcome guests into JO&JOE’s lobby.
A live DJ will keep beats flowing with chilled liquid house, delivering an easy, feel-good vibe with enough energy to kickstart the day the No Ordinary way.
The rave is open to everyone: the general public and hotel guests alike.
