International Chefs Day to Inspire Next Generation

Nestlé Professional and Worldchefs have announced that ‘Growing Great Chefs’ will be the theme of International Chefs Day 2023. In memory of the late chef, Dr. Bill Galagher, the 2023 campaign has aimed to inspire young people all over the world to aspire to be chefs.

International Chefs Day 2023 will be celebrated on the 20th of October, and will bring culinary professionals together to promote the art and science of cooking. The focus of the campaign is to introduce children to cooking and to teach them culinary skills, including an introduction to gastronomy that will encourage them to explore the world of flavour, textures, and cultures found in culinary arts.

The programme will also include specially crafted recipes for children, as well as highlighting simple yet delicious dishes from different countries. The campaign has also emphasised sustainability and responsible food practices by incorporating a gardening component. The idea of growing ingredients, connecting with nature through planting, and understanding the value of fresh produce will be heavily focussed throughout the campaign.

The ‘Growing Great Chefs’ campaign promises to inspire curiosity, creativity, and a love for cooking among children from all walks of life. Nestlé Professional and Worldchefs hope to leave a lasting impact on young hearts, nurturing the potential of future culinary leaders.

Nestlé Professional and Worldchefs are encouraging chefs from around the world to donate their time on the 20th of October 2023, to celebrate International Chefs Day by helping young people become passionate about cooking.
