Hotter and Crispier Fries From Wendy’s

Wendy’s is rolling out its revamped French Fries across the US and Canada.

According to the culinary leaders of Wendy's, reformulating the number one product was a month's long process.

The new fries are designed with one thicker side for better heat retention, one thinner side for crispiness, and a whisper-thin coating to enhance crispiness.

The new fry reflects the current industry climate, designed to retain heat and crispness for up to 30 minutes due to the increased drive-thru, takeaway and delivery channels.

Covid threw operators a curveball, challenging them to create new ways to deliver the same quality food. The pandemic created the need to develop methods and products that withstand the delivery experience, especially when that product is the best-seller and the first item customers grab from the bag after drive-thru.
