Hopping into Easter with Angel Bay

You'd be forgiven if April snuck up on you this year, but Easter is upon us and with it, it brings chocolate, successive long weekends, cooler weather, and plenty of opportunities to capitalise on the last big sales event of the year.

To get you started, Angel Bay has some great tips, menu ideas and has even created a downloadable Easter Table Talker, perfect for adding a dose of fun to your tables and attracting families and large average order patrons.

Customer Mindset

Writing down a few bullet points about how your customers are feeling and behaving during this time can assist you with menu building and your marketing strategy. When you understand your customer, providing solutions to their problems that they're willing to pay for becomes easy. Some examples are:

  • Patrons are out and about as pandemic restrictions continue to ease
  • Parents are entertaining children over the school holidays
  • The nation is enjoying three successive public holidays
  • Families often consume fish on Good Friday
  • Patrons may be conscious of economic factors such as the rising cost of goods
  • Patrons may prefer being outside or takeaway options after changing behaviours due to the pandemic

Make Adjustments

Once you've highlighted your customer's mindset, it's time to put a plan in place to make sure you're catering to their needs. This may change from one season to the next, so it's important to do this frequently.

Adding a Takeaway Slider Box to your menu is one example of adjusting your menu to cater to customers who've gotten used to casual dining at home.

The added benefit of the Takeaway Slider Box is that it is easily marketed as the perfect sharing box for customers and families enjoying a day out or birthday party. And can be sold as both a pre-order product or a grab-and-go item depending on your setup.
