BurgerFuel has released a limited-edition vegan hemp burger called the Electric Pūhā. For one month, or until stock runs out, the 100 percent vegan burger will be available nationwide. Along with the hemp sourdough bun, the burger contains hemp and broccoli bites, pūhā and cabbage kraut, avocado, and a hemp-seed-oil aioli.
For those concerned, the burger won’t get you high; the hemp has been harvested from a non-psychoactive variant of the cannabis plant. Additionally, for those looking to try the hemp and broccoli bites separately, they are available for purchase as an individual item. Hemp has been increasingly popular since its inception into New Zealand’s realm of legal food.
