London-based chef Anna Hansen is returning to New Zealand for the 10th annual Wellington On a Plate festival. Hansen, who was awarded an MBE for services to food in 2012, runs the highly successful Modern Pantry in London.
Hansen will be appearing at WOAP’s ‘The Future of Food is Female’ event, alongside local and international names like Monique Fiso, Analiese Gregory, Maxine Schekter and Laura Greenfield. The chefs will share their stories and experiences from their journeys to the highest levels of the culinary world. The event celebrates the 125th anniversary of women’s suffrage in New Zealand.
While Hansen remains coy about what punters can expect from her dishes but said her dishes will more than likely involve black garlic, chocolate, liquorice, smoked ricotta and hijiki.
“It will be light hearted and a little indulgent.”
