USA | QSR chain Five Guys has partnered with CloudKitchens to operate in Seattle, expanding its current portfolio of outlets.

US fast food chain Five Guys has announced another addition to its rapid expansion, with the opening of a new Seattle restaurant at Lake Union Eats.

The new restaurant is in partnership with CloudKitchens, a ghost kitchen provider and operator of Lake Union Eats, a delivery and takeout food and beverage service hub.

“We’re beyond excited to bring the Five Guys experience to the heart of downtown Seattle,” said Faisal Khalil, franchisee and owner of Lake Union Burgers.

“From our crave-worthy burgers and hand-cut fries to our classic milkshakes and hot dogs, we can’t wait to serve the Seattle community. Thanks to our partnership with CloudKitchens, we’ve finally found the perfect way to enter this vibrant market, and this is just the beginning.”

With the continued growth of digital ordering for Five Guys, ghost kitchens like Lake Union Eats provide the brand with a smart, streamlined way to grow, without the heavy upfront investment of a traditional brick-and-mortar location. This marks Five Guys’ second location launched in collaboration with CloudKitchens, further growing their partnership.

Founded in Arlington, VA, in 1986, the first Five Guys location opened as The Place to get a fresh, juicy burger with all the toppings you could stuff between fresh-baked buns. Since then, Five Guys has expanded to more than 1,900 locations across the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Europe, Asia and the Middle East. Five Guys is known for only using fresh ground beef, peanut oil, and never freezing any ingredients.

CloudKitchens is the world’s largest provider of ghost kitchens with over 5,000 kitchens actively cooking in 400 facilities across 30 countries. Located in dense urban cores, our facilities are optimised for off-premises sales (delivery, takeout, walkup) with built-out commercial kitchens for franchisees and corporate operators.
