Donut King has launched a new range of edible donut emojis, allowing customers to order an emotion and eat it too. “Emojis have broken free from the internet and onto clothes, cushions and from today, donuts,” said Donut King head of production development Scott Anderson.
“Emoji donuts are a first of their kind and exclusive to Donut King. The specialty donuts are covered in white icing with blue, pink, red yellow or brown sprinkles with an edible image of an emoji.”
The range features five different emojis, ‘Face with Tears of joy’, ‘Face Throwing a Kiss’, ‘Heart Eyes’, ‘Winking’ and ‘Tongue-out’.
“Emojis have become a way to express feelings and some believe they are more accurate than words,” said Anderson.
