Domino’s has announced one of its biggest deals to date, coinciding with the return of the school year.

As the school year begins, Domino's has announced the return of one of its most popular promotions.

With contributing factors such as the high cost of groceries and the skyrocketing rate at which Kiwi customers head to the takeaway bar (once a week on average), there is a strong demand from consumers for a cheap and cheerful meal available on demand that they can take advantage of.

The growing QSR sector has once again proven to be popular among customers, especially with frequent discounts and offers available to them. The New Zealand and Australian QSR sector have contributed to its global growth, especially with more international brands arriving down under than ever before.

The back-to-school rush can be a wildly expensive and hectic time of year for parents. With essential purchases of new uniforms and stationery, not to mention the latest tech devices, Domino’s has decided to help out in the best way it can.

Going the extra mile, Domino’s has introduced a whole week of half-priced feasts, which will allow families to have a teatime treat without breaking the bank.

The deal, which has traditionally only been introduced once or twice a year in the past, will run from the 3rd to the 9th of February and will include such perks as 50 per cent off Gourmet Pizza and Large Traditional pizzas. Prices will start in the neighbourhood of NZD $7.50, which is less than purchasing frozen pizzas.

Pizza is one of the most popular varieties of takeaways with New Zealand customers. A main reason behind the success has been convenience for customers with a bust lifestyle.

Lifestyle has also been a key influence on market growth. With customers wanting quick and reliable meals in between their busy schedules, demand has supported QSR business. This has supported the growth of food delivery platforms, which have become a driving force within the sector. Food delivery platforms have also addressed the needed gap in the market.
