U.S.A. | Delight Restaurant Group has expanded its portfolio of Wendy's restaurants across the East Coast of the United States. The deal has elevated the company's ownership to 226 stores in the national market.
Delight Restaurant Group has announced the acquisition of 65 Wendy's restaurants across Pennsylvania, Ohio, and West Virginia from Primary Aim, LLC. This acquisition makes Delight Restaurant Group one of the largest franchisees within the Wendy's System.
The restaurant group is a high-performing and growth-oriented restaurant franchise organisation founded by Managing Partners Andrew and Richard Krumholz in 2016. With this acquisition, the restaurant group will own and operate 226 restaurants, generating $500 million in sales, and employing 7,000 people in eight states. the restaurant group has planned to continue expanding through acquisitions and new unit development.

In 2021, the restaurant group acquired 44 Wendy's restaurants in Long Island, New York. The 44 restaurants now employ more than 1,200 team members, and were previously owned and operated by The Wendy's Company. As part of the transaction, the restaurant group planned to build several new Wendy's restaurants in the area and remodel certain acquired restaurants under the brand's Image Activation initiative.
Delight Restaurant Group is a franchisee of The Wendy's Company and Taco Bell. Delight operates 226 locations, has generated $500 million in annual sales, and employs 7,000 people. Managing Partners Andrew and Richard Krumholz founded the company in 2016.
