Cookie Time Limited is New Zealand’s number one FMCG distributor, as ranked in the 2021 Coalface Consulting survey.
The Coalface survey is the benchmark for industry performance, an annual survey measuring the service level performance of more than 110 suppliers across the FMCG industry. Some 1026 stores were surveyed, including all Grocery retailers, all Oils, and Organised Convenience/Route outlets.
The results have Cookie Time as number one by overall satisfaction rating across all stores.
“We are delighted with this result and are incredibly proud of our franchise network and the support team that enables them to do a fabulous job in trade,” expressed Lincoln Booth, Cookie Time General Manager.
“We do have a Dream Team who are passionate about service and continually lift the bar in trade. Without a doubt, it certainly has been a challenging year, but to receive this accolade is a true reflection of how hard our franchisees have worked to exceed their customer’s needs.”
Cookie Time runs a franchised distribution model, comprising 51 franchise business owners running territories from the top of the North Island to the bottom of the South Island. They represent, distribute and merchandise Cookie Time’s iconic brands including Cookie Time, OSM and Bumper – and its latest acquisition Em’s Power Cookies.
Guy Pope-Mayell, Cookie Time Managing Director, said the number one ranking is a huge accolade and testament to the dedication of franchisees.
“This is an incredible achievement for our franchisees; essentially individual business owners with a van who’ve been measured against the big multinationals and come up trumps. Where multinationals have teams of reps, delivery people and merchandisers, our franchisees do all these roles themselves and do them exceptionally well.
“We’re immensely proud. This reflects the commitment our franchisees have for their customers, especially as we have navigated Covid, and the skills and abilities they have that add value. It also highlights the high regard our franchisee team have within the industry.”
As well as taking out the number one spot overall for FMCG distribution; Cookie Time has been rated the number two supplier within grocery for merchandising service and skills.
