CLIMATE CHANGE CAFÉ

Patagonia, the outdoor clothing company, has opened a café to connect those interested in taking action for climate change. In an initiative called ‘Action Works’, the London-based café will be a space for those that want to make a difference but are not necessarily equipped with the tools to do so.

At the café, people will be able to take part in activist training, develop their campaigning skills, and read literature on how to make a difference in the face of a climate crisis. Proceeds from the café will be donated to local UK environmental NGOs and charities, as well.

In addition to the café, the Action Works online platform significantly extends the reach that local petitions, events and funding schemes can connect with relevant crowds. The online platform initially launched in North America and has since launched Europe-wide.
