Hastings' very own slice of Americana can be found in the diner-inspired restaurant, Carr's Kitchen. Featuring a menu filled with burgers, grilled sandwiches, hot dogs, wings, and tater tots; Carr's Kitchen is a tribute to the family tradition of owners Daniel Hopkins and Nicole McDonald. McDonald and Hopkins say they are 'still trying to perfect [grandmother] Joyce's shepherd's pie, and her light fluffy sponge'.
