Service Foods is one of New Zealand’s largest privately owned and operated food distribution companies. To support their continued growth, the last 12 months have seen Service Foods focus on building their governance structure and they are now proud to announce the appointment of Carolyn Mortland as Non-Executive Director.
Mortland brings of a wealth of experience to the board with over 20 years of experience in the food and beverage industry specifically, holding a variety of roles at Fonterra including corporate counsel, GM Foodservice Strategy and Director of Global Sustainability.
Service Foods’ managing director, Aneil Balar is confident Mortland will add immense value to the business.
“Carolyn comes with a wide range of experience, and no doubt will provide significant contributions to Service Foods in the areas of strategy, sustainability and people and culture as we continue to grow. We are very grateful to have Carolyn join us on this journey.”
Chairman of the Board, Ross Buckley added that Mortland’s skills and experience are very complementary to the Board’s existing skillsets.
“Carolyn will assist in delivering on our purpose and strategy especially in the areas of operational excellence, sustainability and customer centricity. We also hope to leverage her expertise in the development of our people and our culture,” noted Buckley.
