CALLING ALL START-UPS

Sprout Accelerator is offering $500,000 to future-food and agritech start-ups from New Zealand. Innovators are being encouraged to come forward with their ideas, for a chance to win their share of the Accelerator investment.

Eight New Zealand start-ups will be selected to join a six-month accelerator starting early next year, each to the value of $75,000. The money will come in the form of business coaching, network access, mentoring and block courses held around the country. At the end of the mentoring stage, participants will have access to an investment pool of $500,000.

Sprout’s partners include Callaghan Innovation, the government’s innovation support agency, AGMARDT, Fonterra, Gallagher, KPMG, Zespri and PGG Wrightson.

Registrations close towards the end of November, to find out more visit the Sprout Accelerator website.
