ASIAN TRADESHOW WAS THE PLACE TO BE

FHA2016 closed on April 15 on an upbeat note, with 72,000 attendees, 45 percent of whom from overseas. Held alongside the main exhibition, the first-ever ProWine Asia has also enjoyed a great success, hosting 257 established wine producers and distributors from 30 different countries, and attracting 8,285 attendees, including trade visitors, masterclass and seminar speakers and delegates from 44 countries.

Innovative ideas are more critical than ever in meeting changing consumer demands. We are heartened and pleased that FHA has continued to be the platform for exhibitors to showcase new and innovative products,” said Lindy Wee, chief executive, Singapore Exhibition Services.

One of the brand-new products unveiled at FHA as a world-first was a premium, all natural ice cream loaded with six strains of probiotics, Foxy’s Thoughtful Ice Cream.

Manufacturers and trade buyers were pleased with the event, which provided a great opportunity to meet many key industry players and discuss the latest challenges and developments. The FHA2016 International Conference covered a wide spectrum of topics, ranging from investment opportunities to design, technology and food manufacturing.

“The latest innovations being discussed would surely help to boost sales, especially the story-telling way of inspiring our customers to be curious to buy the products,” said Zenaida B. Gonzales, owner, Michell’s Cakes & Pasteries and Stregato Gelateria.

ProWine Asia has also brought synergistic cross-over value between the food and hotel sectors with that of the wine and spirits industry, extending its visitors base to beyond the Southeast Asia region. In addition, Asia’s first Champagne Lounge boasted an array of 25 different types of champagne.
The next edition of FHA will return from 24 to 27 April 2018.
