Appleton Estate has started Rum Month with partnerships with bars across the country, creating a cocktail celebration.
Appleton Estate is turning up the heat this winter with a flavour-packed celebration for Rum Month. This July, diners can enjoy the best of Jamaica’s authentic premium rum at some of the country’s favourite cocktail bars.
In partnership with 18 popular venues across Auckland, Tauranga, Queenstown and Christchurch, Kiwis have been invited to sip their way through a nationwide cocktail trail. Each venue will be offering a bespoke Appleton Estate rum cocktail or tasting experience, crafted exclusively for the month of July.
“Rum Month is a great opportunity to not only showcase Appleton Estate, but also the incredible venues and mixologists across New Zealand creating one-of-a-kind cocktails and experiences to celebrate. Whether you’re a rum lover, cocktail connoisseur or just keen to get out and about this winter, Rum Month is not to be missed!” said Blake Stonham, Head of On-Trade for Campari New Zealand.
Highlights include:
- The Park Hyatt’s luxury rum pairing experience featuring Appleton Estate 12YO, 21YO and the ultra-rare Hearts Collection 2003 - released in limited numbers, and one of the most prized in Appleton’s range.
- Sardine / White + Wong’s not-to-be-missed range of six limited-time cocktails including the berry-rich Velvet Bloom and smoky Mai Lucky Cat.
- Piknicka - a trio of refined cocktails – from Black River Joy, a charred pineapple and orgeat laced twist on a tiki classic, to the elegant Nassau Sour and the bittersweet richness of Push, One Steer.
- SODA Queenstown’s Sunset Sip – a lush winter warmer with rum, Amaro and aged Port, made for golden hour by the lake.
- Little Blackwood’s Mai Tai – a rich reimagining of a classic cocktail, crafted using Appleton Estate 17YO Legend, dry Curaçao, lime, and a silky housemade pistachio orgeat.
