In its third year, Oyster Festival Matakana is sure to please the whole family in a one-day unmissable event. With local wine, and produce, and enough oysters to sink a small boat, the birthplace of oyster farming in New Zealand, Mahurangi, is sure to provide an unparalleled dose of vitamin sea.
For those that aren’t partial to oysters, there will be plenty on offer with Sawmill Brewery and Double Dutch Fries joining in on the fun. Visitors will be entertained by live music, a foodie demonstration tent, kids entertainment and of course, shucking competitions.
