WINING AND DINING WITH THE MOOCH

An Italian restaurant chain in the USA is poking fun at the short reign of White House Communications Director Anthony Scaramucci, offering a new menu option called ‘The Mooch’.

Scaramucci oversaw a turbulent week and a half at the White House, including an expletive-laden interview with the New Yorker and publically insulting high-level White House aides, one of whom quit the next day. He also said he would fire people over whom he had no authority, claimed that he and the President were the only two ‘non-rotting fish’ in the current administration and threatened to ‘kill all the leakers’ – noting that he was not a backstabber, but rather “more of a front-stabbing person.”

“Inspired by the recent outgoing White House communications director [Anthony Scaramucci], we thought it was fitting that this offer was centered around the meatball,” said Mimi Wunderlich, director of communications and digital marketing strategy for Villa. The Mooch is a spaghetti with meatballs and salad special which is suitable for “all guests, including leakers and paranoics.”

Fittingly, ‘The Mooch’ is only available for 11 days.
