With Summer here, Auckland’s foodies will be able to taste the best of local cuisine at Ponsonby’s latest attraction, Walk. Talk. Eat. Repeat. Ponsonby Road Food Tour, a new way to taste the finest cuisine right on the city’s doorstep.
Discover the heart of Auckland’s hospitality scene on The Big Foody’s Walk. Talk. Eat. Repeat Ponsonby Road Food Tour - a three-hour walking adventure through one of the city’s most iconic and stylish neighbourhoods.
Launching January 13, this intimate tour (max 10 people) is designed for both curious locals and international guests, showcasing Ponsonby’s rich food scene, vibrant culture, and creative spirit.
Culinary explorers will savour artisan ice cream, bold Italian flavours, fragrant Asian-inspired bites, and Ponsonby classics, while meeting the passionate people behind the plates. Along the way, participants dip into boutique fashion houses and perfumeries for a full sensory experience.
Operated by Elle Armon Jones from The Big Foody, the company organises public and private food tours in Auckland, Wellington, and Dunedin. Armon Jones said she has been working on adding this new tour for more than 12 months now and is delighted to add the Ponsonby Road Food Tour to her tour offering.

Walk. Talk. Eat. Repeat, The Ponsonby Road Food Tour will operate Tuesday-Saturday, 11am-2pm from Tuesday January 13, 2026. The cost is NZD 225 per person, with all tastings and stories included.
