The Furphy ‘What the Truck?!” Campaign from Lion has won Silver at the 2023 Cannes Lion awards.
The campaign was launched in 2022 to unveil the Furphy Crisp Larger, and saw a 7.8-tonne beer truck wedged between two skyscrapers in Sydney’s CBD. The installation gained a lot of attention online and media traction.
The Cannes Lion awards acknowledge the best in creative excellence, and encourages creative thinking. Entrants from South Korea, Thailand and Kenya made history by taking home awards for the first time.
Furphy is an Australian brand of ale, well known for its history as a popular ‘pub drink.’ Whilst the original Furphy bottling is blue, Furphy Crisp has chosen a red theme, which was also the colour of the beer truck in the campaign.
