THE ONE STOP SHOP FOR ALL YOUR ECO-FRIENDLY PACKAGING NEEDS

Eco-friendly packaging is important to Kiwi consumers navigating the new normal of  pick-up and takeaway dining. Gilmours is here to help get your food business up and running through Level 2 and beyond.

When you’re running a food business, single-use packaging can be unavoidable, but with packaging from BioPak you can help reduce the negative impact on the environment.

BioPak’s single-use packing is manufactured in an eco-friendly way, for guilt-free convenience. Their single use packing also improves sanitation and reduces the spread of infectious diseases.

BioPak conceives, designs and manufactures for a circular economy using materials that are non-toxic throughout their lifecycle. All products in the range are certified carbon neutral after use and can either be recycled, commercially and/or at home composted.

Whatever type of food business you run, BioPak has the perfect solution – whether you prefer paper, bioplastic or sugarcane packaging:

Paper

  • Biocups, Biobowls and Chip Biocups – all made from paper sourced from managed plantations and coated with Ingeo™ – a commercially compostable bioplastic made from plants, not oil. Using a heavy gauge, premium grade board to produce the highest quality cups as well as using soy, water-based inks
  • Bioboard Range – includes boxes and trays, noodle boxes, lunch boxes and sandwich wedges. The boxes and trays are 100 percent paper with no lining so completely home compostable. The Noodle and Lunch Boxes also use Ingeo™ for the waterproof linings and windows.

Bioplastic

  • Clear Biocups and Biobowls - different from the normal conventional single-use cold cups, that are made from fossil fuels which will most likely end up in landfill where it will take decades to breakdown.

BioPak offers a range of more sustainable alternative cold cups and bowls made from bioplastic, an innovative plant-based plastic, that are perfectly clear and sturdy, performing excellently when serving cold food and drinks. Bioplastic is compostable in a commercial facility. Plus, the carbon footprint of producing bioplastic is up to 75 percent smaller than conventional plastics such as PET.

Sugarcane

  • Biocane range – made from the pulp of the sugarcane plant, is extremely durable, lightweight, inexpensive and biodegrades in 30-90 days once exposed to composting conditions. It has no taste, or harmful additives and can be both heated up or frozen. The Biocane range includes clamshells, takeaway containers, plates bowels and trays.
