Beam Suntory is proud to announce the introduction of The Chita Whisky into the New Zealand market. The Chita is the newest expression from the House of Suntory, a mild, smooth, single grain whisky with unparalleled sophistication and a clean, clear finish.
Shinji Fukuyo, Suntory Master Blender, described The Chita Single Grain Whisky as the “serenity of Japanese whisky.” Like the misty, calm seas of The Chita Peninsula on a day of elegant stillness, this airy whisky has a presence that is unmistakably serene.
To celebrate the launch of The Chita Single Grain Whisky, Tommy’s Champagne Parlour in the Seafarers Building at the heart of Auckland’s Britomart are delighted to present a Masterclass in Suntory Whisky distilleries, for five nights only. The Masterclasses will highlight 40 years of excellence in distilling and blending Japanese grain whiskies.
Hosted by New Zealand House of Suntory brand ambassador Rory Donnelly, this promises to be an evening to remember, exploring Suntory’s rich whisky distilleries with a highlight on The Chita.
Tickets include a Chita Highball on arrival, alongside a range of expressions including Hibiki Japanese Harmony, Yamazaki Distillers Reserve, Hakushu Distillers Reserve, Hakushu 12YO, and Toki. Attendees will also be treated to an assortment of delicious, shared dishes made by renowned Chef Yukio Ozeki of Azabu, designed to complement each tasting.
