Shining a Light on Local Hospitality

The local hospitality industry is to be celebrated at the 8th Rotorua Hospitality Awards, an industry event to celebrate and promote the excellence of food and beverage offerings in the region.

Bought to you by the Restaurant Association of New Zealand with the support of lead sponsors Gilmours and RA Lexis ComplyHub, the Awards provide a platform to encourage and support new and established industry leaders in the Rotorua region.

“Rotorua is recognised globally for its manaakitanga, it’s so important that hospitality recognises our champions as it provides not only a peer benchmark for excellence, but also serves to give our local community and our visitors' valuable guidelines on the best places to visit,” commented Restaurant Association CEO Marisa Bidois.

Rotorua Branch President Sharon Wallace noted that it’s important to shine a light on the local industry and ensure hospitality is recognised for its contribution to the local community and visitor economy.

“This has been an incredibly tough year for hospitality here in Rotorua, the awards are an opportunity for the industry to put aside some of the challenges they are currently facing and focus on celebrating the great people and businesses for their contribution to keep our local hospo humming,” she added.

Voting is now open, and winners will be announced at the awards evening on Sunday, 25 July at the Energy Events Centre. The public is also able to vote for their favourite establishment in the Destination Rotorua People’s Choice category award.
