Led by Bob Campbell MW, one of New Zealand’s leading wine critics and educators, The Real Review have announced their list of top New Zealand wineries for 2018. The wineries on the list are judged on their ability to consistently produce excellent wine and thus are continually recognised for high quality. This year Vidal Estate placed at number seven in the list.
Since the 2008 vintage the top twelve Gimblett Gravels red wines have been independently selected by internationally respected Andrew Caillard MW to represent the Gimblett Gravels region on the world stage. Caillard’s 2016 vintage selection featured both Vidal Estate Legacy Syrah and Vidal Estate Legacy Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot. Along with the ten others selected, these wines will be sent to key global wine writers and influencers to showcase the excellence and progression of the unique terroir.
