Regional President Appointments for Subway

USA | Subway has named three new regional presidents who will lead the brand into the next chapter of the company's future and drive growth.

Subway has announced a series of regional leadership appointments to accelerate sustainable growth, help drive franchisee profitability and elevate the guest experience.

Damien Harmon

Damien Harmon, President of North America

A culture builder and recognised expert in guest experience, Harmon brings more than two decades of operations, retail and customer experience to Subway. Most recently, he served as Senior Executive Vice President of Customer, Channel Experiences & Enterprise Services at Best Buy. In that role, he led store and services teams, championed initiatives that drove employee engagement, increased and strengthened long-term customer relationships, and delivered consistent, industry-leading results for the company.

Previously, Harmon held executive roles at Bridgestone Americas Inc., including President of GCR Commercial Tires and Chief Operating Officer of Bridgestone Retail Operations. He also worked internationally, having spent time in China and Turkey.

Tracy Gehlan

Tracy Gehlan, President of Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA)

Gehlan brings more than 25 years of experience leading franchise operations across a number of industries, including QSR. She previously served as Senior Vice President EMEA & Chief Operating Officer International at Hertz Global Holdings, one of Europe’s largest franchise systems, where she drove business growth, operational efficiency and customer experience. 

Gehlan has also held senior roles at QSR brands including Smashburger and Burger King, deepening her expertise in international franchising. Most recently, as President International at Driven Brands, she led expansion and a P&L turnaround across 13 countries. She also sits on the board of Americana Restaurants International PLC, the largest out-of-home dining and QSR operator in the Middle East.

Artemio Garza

Artemio Garza, President of Latin America & Caribbean (LAC)

Garza has nearly two decades of experience in franchising, quick-service restaurants and multi-unit retail across Latin America and North America. Prior to joining Subway, he served as Chief Growth Officer at Renuity, where he led expansion strategies, oversaw marketing and customer operations teams, and played a key role in driving business growth. Garza also held a number of leadership roles across franchise brands, including Chief Brand Officer of Driven Brands and Senior Marketing Director for Burger King in Latin America. In addition, he owns a full-service bakery-bistro in his hometown of Monterrey, Mexico.
