DoorDash has partnered with QSR leader Popeyes to deliver fried chicken directly to the doorstep of customers.
Popeyes has given fried chicken lovers something to celebrate. On-demand delivery platform, DoorDash has exclusively launched as the delivery partner for iconic Louisiana-inspired fast food chain, Popeyes - meaning that Kiwis can now chow down on the cult favourite from the comfort of their couch.
DoorDash will launch this service with New Zealand’s first Popeyes Restaurant in Takanini, delivering to suburbs within a seven-kilometre radius of the store - including Papakura, Ardmore, Clover Park, Wattle Downs, Weymouth, Clendon Park, Alfriston, and The Gardens, giving more Kiwis the chance to enjoy the iconic menu items that Popeyes is known for.
To appeal to customers, DoorDash’s exclusive delivery partnership with Popeyes will enable Kiwis to get a free Classic Chicken Sandwich when they spend NZD $25 or more on their DoorDash order for a limited time.
“The launch of Popeyes on DoorDash is just another step forward for our dedication to delivering delicious meals (and more) right to Kiwis’ doorsteps,” said Bradley Thomas, General Manager of DoorDash New Zealand.
“We’re so excited to bring Popeyes to our customers, and we can’t wait to grow alongside them as they expand all around the country.”
Originating in New Orleans, Popeyes has become a worldwide sensation, known for its iconic fried chicken restaurant, Popeyes Louisiana Chicken. Its first New Zealand restaurant opened in Takanini in April 2024, garnering the attention of Kiwis all over Auckland, with crowds lining up for hours to get a taste of the iconic menu.
“We’re thrilled to continue to bring Popeyes into New Zealand homes through our exclusive partnership with DoorDash” said Sharn Phillips, Head of Marketing.
“The excitement and demand for our fried chicken has been incredible since we first opened here. Now, with delivery, we’re making it even easier for Kiwis to enjoy our bold Louisiana flavours wherever they are.”
DoorDash currently services 70 percent of the New Zealand population, and this partnership is the latest in a series of exciting offerings designed to cater to Kiwi customers’ cravings and provide them with the best local and global food experiences.
Following the delivery launch through the Takanini restaurant, DoorDash will expand delivery services to additional Restaurants later this month, including Papatoetoe and Taupō.
