A Christchurch pizzeria is offering free pizza this coming weekend to anyone who has had at least one dose of the Covid-19 vaccine.
Spagalimis Pizzeria will offer the promotion on Saturday 16 October between 11 am and 4 pm.
Customers will receive a free pizza with any beer, wine or mocktail purchase.
The initiative is part of a multi-agency campaign that aims to have 90 percent of Canterbury's population vaccinated with at least one dose by Labour weekend.
"No incentive should be needed to do the right thing for our country, so look at this as a reward for being a good team player," said a Facebook post from the company.
Last weekend another Christchurch business, FUSH, provided free food to vaccinated people at the Ngā Hau e Whā National Marae clinic in Wainoni.
The region is close to its goal, with 82 percent of Canterbury residents fully vaccinated, single dosed or booked to receive a vaccination.
