NZ’s Beef and Lamb Ambassador Series Dinner prepared by top chefs and a student

The Beef and Lamb New Zealand’s Ambassador Series Dinner was held in New Plymouth on Friday the 29th. The eclectic mix of some of New Zealand’s top chefs included Freddie Ponder from Table in Taranaki, Mat McLean from Hamilton’s Palate Restaurant, as well as student chef, Daria Hardgrave. Hardgrave is an apprentice chef at Marinovich’s Seafood Restaurant in New Plymouth.

The dinner was held to promote the country’s meat industry. The meal consisted of a range of beef and lamb dishes, made to encourage trying new things. Featuring on the menu were dishes such as beef tartare, beef liver snow and a bone marrow dessert. Tickets had been sold for $150 each and had sold out within one week.
