Melbourne’s Latest Culinary Offering

Melbourne’s Queen Victoria Market is set to open a brand-new venue by Brick Lane Brewing in late November.

Located in the former site of the Mercat Cross Hotel, Brick Lane Market will house a 120-seat dining room, a private space for 16 guests and a terrace that spans 150 seats.

The venue will offer a combination of fine brewed beverages as well as a selection of culinary treats, with acclaimed head chef, Ankit Padmani, taking the lead in the kitchen. The menu is set to incorporate fresh produce found at the Queen Victoria Market.

The market-to-plate concept is paired with such dishes as pan-fried market fish, Hagen’s Organic Butcher gochujang pork belly and scotch fillet, and a selection of charcuterie options.

On tap will be a range of Brick Lane Brewing products, as well as specially crafted bespoke cocktails that represent the market.

The transformed historic site has been called a veritable celebration of beer, highlighting its rightful role in all occasions.  Currently, the Queen Victoria Market is considered a prime example of the finest Australian cuisine, and has maintained a strong presence for food service since its opening in 1878.

Brick Lane Market will open on November 29th.
