Hailing from England, Lauren Boyd moved to Wellington and has been working as a barista and all-rounder at Nikau Cafe.
With an eight-year experience in the coffee industry, her go-to coffee order is a firm oat flat white, sometimes switching it up with an americano.
Boyd was attracted to the career due to her love for coffee. She found the process of roasting beans to be quite fascinating and was lucky enough to have an excellent staff to work with at the cafe.
Nikau Cafe is very well-known for its smoked fish kedgeree. Other specialty items include beef fettuccine, chicken, pea and ham risotto, freshly baked cheese scones, and carrot cake.
Boyd enjoys being active and doing something outdoors with her friends during her free time.
