McDonald’s is trialling a reservation service in the UK, at its first ‘luxury restaurant concept’. The trial will take place atthe Kensington High Street branch.
Customers will be able to reserve a VIP table by registering online from August 15. The restaurant is expecting a big response, with bookings only open for two days.
Once booked, the VIPs will be welcomed to the restaurant by a string quartet, their dining area surrounded by velvet curtains and they will eat food delivered by white-gloved butlers with diamond-encrusted cutlery.
The trial is a publicity stunt to celebrate the launch of the Signature Burger range, a selection of gourmet burgers.
