McDonald’s has launched its first new store concept since the drive-thru: ‘McDonald’s to Go’. The takeaway only store launched in London and has no seating areas or traditional cashiers. Where friendly faces would usually be waiting to greet customers, consumers instead complete their orders on touch-screen menus. In addition, the menu has been stripped back to McDonald’s staples—Big Macs, McNuggets, fries, etc.

This forward-thinking store leans in towards recent trends for customers to prefer takeaway and convenience. The store only accepts card payments, as well.
