KOREA’S MARKET FOR MINI BEERS

Following famous Korean beer company, Cass’ release of smaller, 250-millilitre cans of beer as an alternative to conventional 500-millilitre cans, the trend for more miniature liquor and beverage products has significantly increased throughout the nation. Favour towards the decrease in size follows an increasing demand for smaller-sized beverages as the number of Koreans eating and drinking alone is on the rise. Also designed for convenience, the cans are easy to take on outings and cool faster than the larger version of the product. Multiple other alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverage companies have followed suit in creating smaller versions of their own products. The size of the drinks has been well received for catering to the needs of those who prefer to drink less or want something lighter as a refreshing beverage. Growing numbers of single households have influenced the trend as it is set to rise further.
