Italian cuisine down under

Michelin chefs Alessandro Cannata and Francesca Fucci will showcase the best of Italian cuisine and the finest regional Italian wine at a series of dinners across the country this week, starting tonight at Giraffe in Auckland.

The pair has a wealth of experience in various multiple Michelin starred and 5-star restaurants throughout Europe including six years at the prestigious Moma Restaurant in Rome. Their philosophy is based on a balanced combination of delectable tastes and aromas that unite through simple and daring cooking methods. They enjoy using locally sourced food, authentic and intriguing flavours, refined presentation and beautiful colour.

The pair will be cooking at Giraffe in Auckland (20th November), Hopgood’s in Nelson (22nd November) and The True South Dining Room at The Rees in Queenstown (25th November).

The event is part of the Week of Italian Cuisine, an event coordinated by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, with the purpose of promoting Italy’s most renowned exports.
