Wellington Airport’s terminal has a stunning new look with the opening of a new two-storey bar and café, Good Day. 

The two-story venue, operated by EVT, is open daily from 4 am to 8 pm, will offer a wide range of food and beverages in Good Day’s café, bar and elevated all-day dining space, showcasing some of the best views in Wellington.

Wellington Airport chief executive Matt Clarke said the venue is set to become a destination in its own right.

“It has fantastic views across the terminal, runway and Lyall Bay. It also puts you eye-level with our spectacular bird spirit Manu Muramura, created by Wētā Workshop.”

The precinct has casual dining, baked goods, café bites, savoury treats, deli selections and a burger bar; everything travellers need to make the journey as great as the destination. 

The new venue adds 130 additional seats to the dining precinct and is part of a NZD 20 million upgrade of retail and hospitality sites, including a new duty-free provider and new technology, gifting, eyewear and beauty concept stores.
