A kebab shop in Geraldine has been given one week to get their signage down due to its similarity to the branding for McDonald’s.

Kebab World has been accused of using the McDonald’s golden arches without authorisation, even though it’s inverted.

McDonald’s have threated with action in the high court, saying that they take the protection of their intellectual property rights seriously.

The owner of Kebab World, Ricky Dhaliwal, said that he saw the similarity, but had been trying to make a ‘W’.
