BURGER KING BIDS FOR BREKKIE

Burger King is looking to improve its performance in the breakfast market. The Miami-based company, owned by Canadian Restaurant Brands International, is hoping to rival the performance of other chains like McDonald's, whose breakfast sales are around four times stronger in terms of revenue.

In March, in a bid to get customers through the door in the morning, Burger King began a coffee-subscription service allowing customers unlimited coffee for $5 a month. They also opened BK Cafe, a platform with upgraded beverages more suited to the demands of morning commuters.
