With fan-favourite flavours, Brave Pizza has introduced a nostalgic experience to Auckland's pizza offerings.

Inspired by the iconic pizza parlours found through the streets of New York, Brave Pizza has offered a slice of nostalgia in a new-wave and modern way.

Located along Auckland’s Great North Road, Brave Pizza was opened by a passionate duo of pizza lovers with a focus on high-quality pizza made with premium ingredients.

Its menu features only a selected list of fan favourites, but enough to keep customers coming back for more. Its one-size-only approach has offered delectable 16 inch pizzas adorned with bacon, cheddar cheese, cream cheese and pickled jalapenos, or mozzarella with organic tomatoes, basil and parmigiano.

Brave Pizza’s chef has made a name for himself throughout the culinary districts of Seoul, South Korea, over the past six years.

Pizza has proven itself to be one of the most popular QSR varieties in 2024, especially through local projects like the Pizza Hut pop-up installation in September, which brought back the nostalgic Pizza Hut experience reminiscent of the 1990s and early 2000s.

The first Pizza Hut in New Zealand opened in September 1974 in New Lynn, Auckland. Since then, the chain has expanded to 135 locations across the country.

"This milestone is a testament to our loyal customers and the Pizza Hut team members over the years - we're looking forward to celebrating with them," said Restaurant Brands NZ Ltd CEO Arif Khan.

In addition to the pop-up event, Pizza Hut also introduced limited-edition retro products, including an Apple Crumble Pizza and other special offerings, which were available nationwide for a limited time.

Hell Pizza also partnered with local chef Rewi Spraggon to create the chain’s first-ever Hāngī pizza. For hāngī master Spraggon, the collaboration with Hell Pizza provided an opportunity to introduce hāngī to a new audience, something he is very passionate about doing. Spraggon’s work with hāngī has been highly acclaimed, with his hāngī dumplings and steamed buns proving popular among audiences.
