HONG KONG | Popular cafe NINETYs has introduced its latest showcase of international tastes and trends, 90s by NINETYs.

Award-winning café NINETYs  has launched 90s by NINETYs, its new concept at the prime Central location of New World Tower, offering fresh international tastes through a dynamic range of customised ‘90s Bentos’ alongside its renowned coffee blends.

A stylish interior also invites diners to linger and savour their well-balanced meals, featuring enticing meat, seafood and vegetable choices plus a carbohydrate, which ticks all the boxes for healthy living.

To celebrate its soft opening and highlight the daily joys of wholesome dining, 90s by NINETYs will treat diners to a “buy six, get one free” redemption card offer on lunch items.

Inspired by the quality Australian coffee culture, NINETYs has stood out for its unwavering dedication to excellence. At 90s by NINETYs, the focus is on both outstanding food and rapid service – ‘90s’ reflects the promise that each customised bento box is prepared within 90 seconds of ordering. This essential commitment in the hectic Central business district environment ensures the highest standards of performance and satisfaction to customers seeking exciting, individually tailored and healthy choices for dining in or takeaway.

The signature 90s Bentos (HK$88 each) are available from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday to Friday, all freshly made in the café’s own kitchen and embracing NINETY’s multicultural craftsmanship. Inspired by the local ‘rice with two sides’ tradition, they are customised with a diverse assortment of tempting global dishes, including Italian, Korean, Thai, Vietnamese and Hong Kong favourites. With recipes refreshed monthly and selections rotating regularly, the menu is tailored to the fast-paced Hong Kong lifestyle.

Diners can select two from the daily array of salads, stews, curries and other mains – starring meat, fresh seafood and vegetables – paired with either rice, pasta or the healthy alternative of soba noodles. During the soft opening, rice staples may include Chia Seed Rice, Flax Seed Rice, Quinoa Rice, Red Brown Rice and Black Brown Rice, while Garlic Herbs Pasta is the pasta choice. Each comes with a delightful Korean Soy Soft-boiled Egg.

For those desiring more variety than two choices of main, further selections are priced at HK $20 each, while a beverage addition of a Batch Brew Coffee, Cold Brew Coffee, Hot Tea, Cold Brew Tea or Fresh Juice can be enjoyed for HK $15. A convenient takeaway offer of Black or White Coffee for just HK $30 during the soft opening delivers an extra caffeine boost.

Signature Char Siu headlines the sumptuous and satisfying main courses available for bento customisation. The classic Chinese-style barbecued pork is homemade – sous vide for 12 hours for glorious colour and succulence. Thai-style Pot-au-feu Beef Cheek, slow roasted for melt-in-the-mouth goodness, and the seafood must-have of Miso Glazed Salmon Fillet are also house specialties.

Herbs Roasted Chicken is freshly cooked in a dedicated state-of-the-art chicken oven at a precise temperature of 360 degrees to ensure perfectly crispy, aromatic skin that delights the senses while sealing in the juices of the tender meat. Other tasty mains for meat lovers may include Slow Roasted Pork Loin with Apple Purée, Braised Chicken with Coconut and Lemongrass, and Pan-fried Duck Breast with Orange Sauce.

Complementing the diverse culinary offerings, 90s by NINETYs will showcase its coffee expertise with an exceptional menu crafted with a choice of two award-winning blends. The NINETYs’ Fruity Blend, infused with flavours of red plum, citrus and black tea, scored an impressive 95 points from leading coffee authority Coffee Review in 2021, making it the highest-rated espresso blend in Hong Kong. The Choco Blend, exuding notes of roasted almond, brown sugar and dark chocolate, also shined with a score of 93 points in the same review.

A creamy, umami and fragrant indulgence, NINETY’s signature Matcha Espresso Latte (HK$50) is a highlight from the list of specialty coffees. Tea drinkers can also enjoy a selection of fine teas, while a curated list of non-caffeinated options ensures there’s something to satisfy every palate.
