Christchurch is just a week out from the opening of the Riverside Market, a venue set to bring over 30 food outlets and 40 market stalls to the city. Under one roof, the CBD is set to receive a boost of food, beverage, and culture, all centred around small business and community. The opening is expected to open on Monday, September 30th. 

Some of the food and beverage openings include Dimitri’s Greek Food who have been operating a city-famous souvlaki joint in Christchurch since 1985; Charing Cross Cheesery, a cheesery run by Sue and Guy Trafford who produce their very own range of sheep’s milk cheeses and gelato, as well as sourcing cheeses from surrounding regions; Bacon Bros Riverside, who are bringing their gourmet burgers made from locally sourced ingredients to the city; and Kaiser Brew Garden, a local family that will bring their Bavarian beer culture to the Riverside gardens.
