New Zealand Winegrowers is excited to announce its collaboration with Sommeliers Australia for The Somewhat Sommit 2023 and The Altogether Unique Tasting, taking place in Melbourne on the 5th of June and Brisbane on the 6th of June.
The Somewhat Sommit, based on the original Sommit format, will be hosted by Cameron Douglas MS and Stephen Wong MW and will delve into the intricacies and future direction of New Zealand wine. The event will focus on the nuances of Pinot Noir, smaller planted varieties, and new-wave New Zealand wines, providing sommeliers and wine professionals the opportunity to experience the diversity of New Zealand wine and understand what makes New Zealand wine unique.

Applications for Sommit are now open to sommeliers and wine professionals with WSET Level 3 accreditation. Participants will take part in a three-hour tutorial and tasting followed by lunch. The Altogether Unique Tasting of New Zealand wine will be open to trade and media in the afternoon, from 2 pm - 5 pm.
This collaboration between New Zealand Winegrowers and Sommeliers Australia promises to be an exciting event for all attendees, providing an exclusive opportunity to learn from and taste some of the finest New Zealand wines.
