A wine tasting treasure hunt is coming to Auckland, with a number of leading CBD bars offering tastings of Villa Maria wine paired with delectable bites.
For just one day, participants will begin their journey at Villa Maria’s pop-up container bar at Queens Wharf. From there, clues will lead them on a journey through Auckland Central to discover and taste a variety of Villa Maria wines while they compete to win for the grand-prize of two return flights to a destination of their choice.
Villa Maria founder and owner Sir George Fistonich says the treasure hunt is designed to encourage Kiwis to ‘Open Another World’ and try something new, whilst bringing the story of Villa Maria to life.
“As a proudly New Zealand family-owned winery, we got to where we are by pushing boundaries and defying convention, particularly when we moved to 100% screwcap. We want to encourage New Zealanders to do the same,” he said. “The Villa Maria Open Another World Treasure Hunt will be an opportunity for Kiwis to learn more about our story whilst opening their world up to new wine varietals they may never have experienced before.”
The Villa Maria #openanotherworld Treasure Hunt will take place on Saturday 15 July from 1 – 3pm, starting at Villa Maria’s pop-up container bar in Queen’s Wharf, 85-89 Quay St, CBD, Auckland.
