William Mordido to collaborate with Whittakers

William Mordido, owner and creative director of pop-up restaurant Buko, has announced a collaboration with the iconic Whittaker’s chocolate brand for a special Valentine’s Day dinner.

Each dish will be an exploration of Whittaker’s artisan collection chocolate range as a versatile and delicious ingredient, infused with Columbian mango and passionfruit, Hawke’s Bay black doris plumand roasted almonds, Fijian ginger and Kerikeri mandarin, and West Coast buttermilk caramelised white chocolate.

Mordido’s menu will also feature creations using a range of trusted New Zealand brands including Chelsea Sugar, Meadow Fresh and Edmonds products. Each course will be alternate with loose-leaf tea by Noble & Savage Tea Merchants and premium artesian water from New Zealand, Antipodes.

“With the pop-up events receiving such fantastic nationwide and foreign reception, we’re confident that our second event for Valentine’s Day and second collaboration with Whittaker’s will be one of the best events of the summer,” Mordido said. “We have over 12 events planned for 2019, and can’t wait to do more already!”

Ten percent of the profits generated throughout the event will be donated to the Women’s Refuge, in an effort to give back to the community and raise awareness on important issues.
