WHITE, ROSE AND SILVER – AWARD WINNING COLOURS

Ti Point wines were born of the passion and determination of three generations of women to create elegant wine of layers and textures. They have achieved just that with the recent announcement of two Silver Medals at the New World Wine Awards.

The New World Wine Awards is a competition for commercially available wines from New Zealand and overseas that retail under $25. Now in its 15th year, the awards are unique in their focus on affordability and availability of the wines entered, and the results are eagerly anticipated by consumers each year.

These silver medals are a fantastic result for the new vintage 2017 Ti Point Hawke’s Bay Tess White Merlot and 2017 Ti Point Hawke’s Bay Ruby Rosé. The Ti Point Rosé is a brilliant pale pink with aromas of rose petals and fresh cranberries, best described as summer in a glass. Ti Point White Merlot has the faintest blush of pink with aromas and flavours of juicy red plums and dried herbs.

The 2017 growing season was one of extremes, a very dry January was followed by an exceptional volume of rain in the harvest months of March and April. Luckily the rain fell between fine warm days and all these variables have combined to create two award winning wines that are being celebrated with good reason.
